We had been working with Ken since December, 2004. He purchased the book on Oct 26, 2003. We have decided to post his play by play here exactly as it transpired over time until his latest mail. (we changed 1-2 words since he gives away the secret in his mails) Here goes:
(Dec 19, 2003) "Hey, I haven't bitten my nails since a week before i got the book--- I did your technique for the 1st 3 weeks and that helped a lot. Since then I have not needed the technique. My friends and family who knew what my nails looked like before are astounded that I have stuck with it, since the habit was once so severe. The combination of my determination, the technique in your writings, and a little discipline have paid off. I am, however, not 100% happy with the way they are growing in. They aren't really re-attaching to the finger itself, so I find myself with nails that have very long white tips. The lack of re-attachment also means that dirt and other stuff is constantly getting stuck under there. Will they eventually re-attach to the finger? They never really have been attached, but I hope they will eventually because otherwise they will always look a touch abnormal. Perhaps you can tell me what to expect if you have been thru something similar before. Thanks, Ken."
(Feb 2, 2004) "Gil, So far I have been able to fully stop the nail biting habit. I am still playing with the nails, and occasionally picking at them, but the progress has been steady. Hopefully they will keep growing well, and they will start looking more and more like what I am ultimately hoping they look like. Thanks for following up on my purchase - it shows you aren't just trying to get a buck out of random people with promises of results, but that you are genuinely hoping your product works for the people who find it. All the best, Ken"
(Mar 19, 2004) "Hey Gil, Yep, I'm still going strong. I have been confident that the habit has been kicked, so I am no longer implementing the technique highlighted in your writings. I am absolutely horrendous at cutting and filing them, because I have never had to do it before! I'll get the hang of it eventually.... Take care, Ken C."
(Apr 19, 2004) ""If you are really determined to stop biting your nails, then the approach explained in this book is as good an approach as any. Throw away the bad-tasting creams and polishes and tackle the problem at it's core. My nails used to be less than 5mm in length and now they can grow past the edge of the finger. I was able to prepare mentally for the difficult task of kicking a lifetime habit, and this book helped me accomplish my goal. Now if only I can quit smoking!" --- Ken C., Des Plaines IL
