Mathew purchased the book from us on November 6th, 2003 and we shipped the following day. According to her e-mail, she began the technique from November 18, 2003. In mid December, we followed up with her and communicated many times over the next several months. Frankly, the news was not good. Martha reported to us that she was struggling, but would continue her efforts. Her nails were extremely fragile, and very slow to grow. She was able to stop biting and picking early on, but was frustrated with her slow nail growth.

We kept in touch, and offered support. We also re-assured her that nails will regrow, although it may simply take a bit more time in her case. Martha reported to us that she was occassionally using nail covers and polishes to get her thru the interim. We would characterize Martha's case as slow and steady progress. As we stress repeatedly in the book, high levels of motivation are key, and this seems to have certainly worked in Martha's favor! We are happy that she has found success, and she will never again need be afraid of this demon.
